2023: A Year of Community Commitment and Giving Back 

As the year comes to a close, Citizens First Bank takes pride in reflecting on the impactful initiatives and community engagements that defined our commitment to making a positive difference in the areas we serve. In 2023, we were honored to participate in a variety of sponsorships and volunteer activities that strengthened our ties with local communities. 

Sparta  

National Night Out 

National Night Out provided an opportunity for us to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the communities we serve. We were proud to be a part of this event, fostering a safer and more connected Sparta. 

Ladles of Love 

Throughout the year, Citizens First Bank employees dedicated their time to Ladles of Love, making and serving food to those in need. This ongoing commitment reflects our belief in the power of community and the impact of small acts of kindness. 

Holiday in the Lights 

The magic of the holiday season was brought to life in Sparta through our support of Holiday in the Lights. This festive event united the community and spread joy during a time of celebration. 

Monroe County Fair 

As active participants in the Monroe County Fair, we engaged with the community by working the entry gates and clerking the auction. We take pride in supporting local traditions and events that bring people together. 

2nd Harvest Food Pantry 

Our partnership with 2nd Harvest Food Pantry highlights our dedication to addressing food insecurity. Through donations and volunteer efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. 

Adopt A Highway Cleanup 

Preserving the beauty of our community is a shared responsibility. Citizens First Bank took part in Adopt A Highway Cleanup to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment. 

Viroqua & Viola

Vernon County Fair 

We actively participated in the Vernon County Fair, working the entry gates and providing auction support. This involvement allowed us to connect with the community and contribute to the success of this cherished local event. 

Twinkle Fest Parade 

The Twinkle Fest Parade provided a platform for Citizens First Bank to spread holiday cheer. As sponsors, we played a role in creating a festive atmosphere that brought smiles to the faces of Viroqua residents. 

Three Halo’s – Cancer – Hair and Knitted Hat Donations 

Our commitment to health and well-being extended to cancer support through the Three Halo’s initiative. We donated hair and knitted hats to show solidarity with those facing cancer. 

Richland County Fair 

Taking on the role of MC for the Beef Show at the Richland County Fair, we embraced the opportunity to support local agriculture and showcase the hard work of the community’s farmers. 

Coats on a Fence 

As winter approached, Citizens First Bank contributed to keeping our community warm by participating in the Coats on a Fence initiative, providing coat donations to those in need. 

Viola Horse and Colt Show 

Our involvement in the Viola Horse and Colt Show included volunteering for ticket sales and supporting activities like the tractor pull. This event exemplifies our commitment to the diverse interests of our communities. 

Cashton Fall Fest and Snowblazer Fundraiser 

We supported the Cashton community by participating in the Fall Fest and Snowblazer Fundraiser, contributing to the vibrancy and well-being of the area. 

Viroqua Area Athletic Booster Club 

Supporting local athletes, we sponsored the Viroqua Area Athletic Booster Club, investing in the development and success of young talents in our community. 

Holmen

Financial Literacy Program – Prairie View Elementary 

Citizens First Bank believes in the power of education, and our financial literacy program at Prairie View Elementary aims to equip young minds with essential financial skills for a successful future. 

Korn Fest Parade and Jingle Fest Parade 

We joined the festivities of Korn Fest and Jingle Fest Parades, spreading joy and celebrating the unique spirit of Holmen. 

Holmen’s Block Party and Holmen Athletic Booster Club Sponsorship 

Actively participating in Holmen’s Block Party and sponsoring the Holmen Athletic Booster Club, we contributed to the vibrant social and athletic life of the community. 

Holmen Rotary’s Holidays in the Park 

Our sponsorship of Holmen Rotary’s Holidays in the Park helped create a winter wonderland for residents to enjoy during the holiday season. 

Holmen Police Department’s National Night Out 

In partnership with the Holmen Police Department, we participated in National Night Out, fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and the community. 

Boys and Girls Club of Greater La Crosse 

Citizens First Bank continued its support for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater La Crosse, investing in the well-being and development of young people. 

Holmen Fit 5K 

Promoting health and fitness, we sponsored the Holmen Fit 5K, encouraging community members to embrace an active lifestyle. 

Ice Cream Truck for June Dairy Days – 2 Scoops and a Bar 

Celebrating June Dairy Days, we delighted residents with an ice cream truck, spreading joy and highlighting the importance of supporting local dairy farmers. 

LABA (La Crosse Area Builders Association) 

As proud supporters of LABA, we contributed to the growth and success of the local building industry, fostering economic development and community well-being. 

Holmen Area Foundation Community Breakfast 

Our sponsorship of the Holmen Area Foundation Community Breakfast showcased our commitment to supporting local initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents. 

Holmen High School Student Leadership 

Investing in the leaders of tomorrow, we supported Holmen High School Student Leadership programs, empowering students to make a positive impact in their community. 

Trempealeau & Centerville:  

Trempealeau County Humane Society Purple Paws 

Citizens First Bank extended its care to the furry members of the community by supporting the Trempealeau County Humane Society’s Purple Paws initiative. 

June Dairy Days and Highway Clean-Up 

Celebrating local agriculture and contributing to a cleaner environment, we actively participated in June Dairy Days and highway clean-up initiatives. 

Catfish Days Queens and Treats in Trempealeau-Halloween 

Our involvement in Catfish Days Queens and Treats in Trempealeau-Halloween showcased our commitment to community events that bring joy to residents. 

Catfish Days Kids and GET Booster Club 

Supporting the youth of Trempealeau, we participated in Catfish Days Kids events and sponsored the GET Booster Club, fostering the growth and development of young talents. 

Family Sponsor for Holiday Gifting and Adopt a Highway 

During the holiday season, we acted as family sponsors for holiday gifting, spreading cheer and supporting families in need. Additionally, we contributed to a cleaner environment through our Adopt a Highway efforts.
